Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then went to at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set an all-time junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 across her diverse races in the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
